This family I am currently with loves to celebrate birthdays. Jazzy and I had to endure wearing these ridiculous little dresses (Please can someone just save me from this humiliation! Ugh!), and then we each got treats. I got a Busy Bone. Yeeeeah!!!!
It takes Jazzy days to get through a Busy Bone, but I can chew through one in an hour.
Growing up worries me. What if I don't ever mature? What if I'm always playful like a puppy and getting into "too many things," and having people always exasperated with me? Will I always have endless amounts of energy? Will I always be 99% potty trained but never 100%? Will I always have too much excitement and curiousity? Does this mean no one will ever want me or love me?

She is just too cute! We are interested in adopting her even though she's half deaf and a little immature. I think it's sad how people criticize her just by those two facts. It sounds like she has a fun personality and will get along great with our sheltie that we have right now.
Thank you Corri for your kind comment!
Quite honestly I do require a little more attention and patience then most shelties, so not everyone will want to adopt me. And that's okay because not everyone can offer the right home for me, but they may be the right home for another sheltie so that's good!
There's a match out there for everyone.
But thank you for being open to the idea of adopting a dog like me who has some "quirks."
Also, if you are interested in adopting me, or another sheltie, please consider filling out an application with Southland Sheltie Rescue (or any Sheltie Rescue close to your home). All of us shelties are very special dogs! :)
I already filled out an application and I understand her situation. We are prepared to give her all the attention she needs. My daughter is actually the one that will be keeping an eye on her, of course with our supervision. She's home-schooled and would be with Clover all day. She is very patient, reliable and mature. She has proved that to us with our current sheltie and the little kid she used to babysit. And let me tell you, that little girl is cute, but hard to handle for most people, but my daughter manages to have patience and sets a good example for her. I have full confidence that she will be capable of caring for Clover.
Thank you Corri,
My foster mom will look into this. Your daughter sounds very special and I LOVE people!!!! I hope I get to meet her and your sheltie. Thank you!
Happy Birthday Clover!! I'm a lot like you, and I wonder if my name is Koji or PITA as I am sometimes called. I'm sure some forever home will get you involved in things like agility to help. Momma says it's helping me. Not sure why, but okay. I love reading about you, as I'm just like you!!!

p.s. I don't want to grow up either, even though I am 16 months old. hehehe
Hi Clover:
We love your blog and have been watching you for some time now. We are thinking of getting another sheltie and you look just like our baby boy, Ridley (we call him Ridley Pups). He's the king of the universe, you know...but is lonely during the day when we all have to go to work or school. My daughter, Jenna--12, has been begging us to get you. It looks like despite your quirkiness, you have many people who are already in love with you. Thank your Foster Mom for taking such great care of you and posting your blog...she's done a great job.
Oh, and hey, tell the people at the rescue that they are doing great and we miss Marcus as well...
Take care,
The Maughan Family
